The role requires a proactive, adept individual to prioritise tasks, manage multiple projects, allocate resources efficiently, and facilitate cross-disciplinary collaboration. You will focus on design detailing (scale, integration, colour, materials, finish, production methods), considering environmental impact, and be involved throughout the product design process.

Key responsibilities include: Research, concept development, physical mock-ups, client and manufacturer liaison, quality and cost control, technical drawings, implementation, and knowledge sharing. International travel may be required.

You will have:

  • A degree (BSc/MSc) in Industrial or Product Design.
  • 5+ years professional product/industrial design experience, including sign design.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating design excellence and craft (hand/CAD 3D visualisation).
  • Experience overseeing junior team members.
  • Articulate communication skills, championing both meaningful and beautiful design.
  • Competent time management and clear communication with Project Leads.
  • Deep knowledge of materials, graphic application, industry standards, and environmental impact.
  • Expert eye for detail, delivering high-quality, finely detailed designs.
  • Ability to balance conceptual thinking with meticulous design intent drawings and shop drawing checks.
  • Research skills to support project objectives.
  • Natural inclination for physical mock-ups.
  • Appreciation for graphic/information design.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD (ideally Vectorworks), 3D rendering (KeyShot), the Adobe Creative Suite and Google Workspace.

Start: April 2026, subject to discussion
